Categories: Blues
Playlist Archive
When in the course of human events it becomes necessary for one person to step into the shoes vacated by a legendary announcer, raconteur and living encyclopedia of music, the self-inflicted paralysis can be overwhelming. What to do? How to approach a show? What to play? Can life as we know it even continue to exist? Then again, it's just a two hour radio show every Friday from 11-1 on an old school radio station. Any listeners will likely be by chance, riding in their cars or stumbling across WTJU when the cloud-based feed gets stale or the music storage device batteries die. Drunks and the hopeless/hopeful, looking for a moment of clarity, or not even aware that they're looking for anything in the first place. Best case scenario, Dave might reach out and touch that one set of ears, if only for a fleeting minute or three. As Janie says, she couldn't believe what she heard at all. It's rock and roll, or some bastard variation of such. Sloppy Seconds, Friday nights starting January 20th from 11-1 on WTJU.
